Mrs. Joan Graves Youmans

SAVANNAH - Mrs. Joan Graves Youmans, age 61 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born to Wooten Nell Graves and Inez Graves Jenkins on February 21, 1955. She was the oldest of seven children. She was educated in the public schools of Chatham County and a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School, Class of 1973. She was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Usher Ministry until her health began to decline. She worked at Candler Hospital in the Dietary Department for over twenty years. She also worked was employed at Barnes Restaurant where she was head of the catering department for the last twelve years. Joan also had a love for her motorcycle family, "Soulful Riders." Surviving are: her son Keith (Tameka) Graves, two grandson, KeShone Graves and Jeremiah Graves, three grand-daughters, Kierre Graves, Jaleria Graves and Shanae Adams, her mother, Inez Jenkins; five sisters; Janice Graves, Lynnette Chaney, Joyce (Nathaniel) Middleton, donna Sledge and Mary Tucker; four brothers, Jonathan Graves, Johnell (Sondra) Graves, Jeffrey Graves and Jason Graves one Grand Aunt, Bertha Mae Williamson, a god child, Reggie Glover; close friends, Regina Coleman and Shirley Smith; special cousins, Sarah Middleton and Sharon Smith, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
