Sister Gwendolyn Bryant Smith

March 13, 1962 - March 3, 2021

SAVANNAH - Sister Gwendolyn C. Bryant Smith "Gwen", 58 entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She was born on March 13, 1962 in Savannah, GA, daughter of James Bryant Sr. and Mildred German Bryant. She received her early education in the local schools of Chatham County. She was a graduate of Hershel V. Jenkins, Class of 1980. After high school, she attended Paine College in Augusta, GA and Savannah Vocational Technical School (now Savannah Technical college). Gwen was employed by Doctor Wesley J. Ball's office in Savannah for many years. Later on, she was employed by Optim Orthopedics for many years. She was a member of Liberty City Church of Christ. Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roger E. Bryant, Sr. Gwen always greeted you with a smile and had a quiet spirit. She will always be remembered for her love of others, her loyalty, and her kind heart. Gwen leaves behind many to cherish her memory: her loving daughter, Winona Smith, brother, James Bryant, Jr., all of Savannah, GA, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, her church family, and friends. PUBLIC VIEWING: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2021.
