SAVANNAH - Mr. Eddie Snead, 89 entered eternal rest Friday, December 24, 2021 at his residence. He was the sixth child born to late Allen and Emma Wilson Snead on September 23, 1932 in Norfolk, Virginia. At an early age his family moved to Claremont, VA where he received his education in the local schools. He was employed by several companies over the years including: Coca-Cola, J.H. Ambrose, WCAU, Campbell Soup and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he retired after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of Victory Drive Deliverance Temple (now) New Life Experience, Inc. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his only son Daryl; granddaughter, Kimberly Snead; siblings, James, Corrine, Elizabeth, Percy, Allen and George Snead. Eddie loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He was known for his many skills and talents. He took pride in his work whether it was landscaping, or supervising. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife of twenty-six years, Katie Snead, two grandchildren, Assange A.S. Snead, Anthony Keon Snead; one great-grandson, Khamyeyn Snead; daughter in-law, Cynthia Snead; sister in laws; Bettie Polite (Larry), Virginia Thompson (Johnny), Jessie Williams, Margaret Muse (Johnnie), Barbara Joseph, Johnnie Mae Washington and Ruby R. Munden; brother in laws; Robert Washington (Ethel) and Edward Washington. Special cousin, Martha Jones and caring friend Denise Murray, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. It is requested that a mask must be worn appropriately by all that are attending the services FOR THE SAFEFY OF EVERYONE, regardless of vaccination status.
