Ms Udomma Kalu Dennis

Brockton, MA - Ms. Udomma "Udy" Kalu Dennis, age 35 passed away on April 1, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was born to the family of Chief Moses Kalu and Mrs. Comfort Kalu on the 8th day of June 1983. Udomma lived a very impactful life. Much of Udomma’s education was in Nigeria. She started her schooling at Aunty Margaret Nursery School. She progressed on to Saint Bridget Primary School. She excelled as an honor student attending her secondary education at both Nilan Demonstration Secondary School and Living Word Secondary School, were she graduated with distinction. Udomma then proceeded to study law at the University of Uyo from where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. Udomma traveled to Malaysia to continue her education. During her time in Malaysia she became ill and moved to Savannah, Georgia with her Uncle Prof. Alex Kalu. Udomma actively advocated for her health, moving to many cities to seek the best treatment possible. Between the many doctor’s appointments, Udomma still found time to continue her education through Grand Canyon University pursuing her Masters degree in Criminal Justice and also actively served the Lord in her church. Udomma loved the Lord and everyone who met her knew it. Her faith in God and love for God resonated in her actions. She served as children’s Sunday school teacher at her church. She sang in the choir. She loved singing and dancing to the glory of God. Her ill health did not stop her from doing what she set out to do. She had a heart of gold and loved to help people, always putting others first. Udomma always found a way to help or give back to others who were in need. Her ill health did not define her and it did not diminish her faith in God. Udomma always said, “It is only my flesh that is suffering, but my spirit is very much alive. My God has not disappointed me.” Udy loved life. She will be forever loved and remembered as a caring, selfless, and brave daughter, sister, and friend. On April 1, (Easter Sunday) 2018, Udomma passed away with her loving family by her side. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Comfort Kalu, father Chief Moses Kalu, three brothers James, Alex and Obasi, a sister Iyang, aunts, uncles, several cousins and many friends.
