Ms. Linda Louise Gibson

SAVANNAH - Ms. Linda Louise Gibson 72 entered eternal rest, Monday, February 17, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center surrounded by her pastor, family, and friends. Linda was born on February 22, 1952, in Savannah, Georgia. She was a proud graduate of Richard Arnold High School and developed a passionate interest in fashion and business. Her professional journey as a government contractor in administration began in California and continued in Savannah, Georgia, at the Fort Stewart Army base. Linda cherished every moment of her 15-year career as a Government Civilian. In her commitment to education, she earned several certifications in various fields and later pursued an associate’s degree in business administration from St. Leo University. Baptized at an early age, Linda worshipped with several churches throughout the Savannah area. Before her passing, she was a devoted member of Greater Emmanuel Tabernacle, the Church of Christ Holiness unto the Lord, Inc., under Elder Horace Oliver, Pastor. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and strong personality, and she held her family above all else. Linda had a love for bargain shopping, especially for bags and shoes, and possessed a keen eye for fashion. With a heart of gold, she always made it a point to help those in need, touching many lives along the way. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Gertrude O. Gibson; her grandparents, Sidney and Charity Owens; two sisters, Patricia Gibson and Vivian G. Stokes; four brothers, Stanley Gibson, Harry Loadholt, Daniel Wesley Gibson, and Michael Gibson; and a cherished niece, Angel G. Watson. Linda will be lovingly remembered for her love of others, loyalty, compassionate heart, sense of humor, and beautiful “Gibson” smile. Her legacy will be carried on by her three daughters, Rochelle Gibson, Christina Blake, and Stephanie Blake; her brother, Raymond Gibson; three sisters, Theresa Goods (Gerome), Lynette Gibson, and Lenora (Gibson) Hughes; her close sister-in-law, Joan Gibson; and her nine grandchildren: Micheal Blake, Michelle Blake, Caleb Blake, Trinady Burns, Destiny Blake, Tyler Gibson, Ariel Lee, Elgin Lee, and Jade Blake. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and devoted friends to cherish her memory.
